Submissions.

Every day, it seems, we are solicited about submissions in the form of blog articles or website links to post on Special Parents Confidential.

We do welcome outside contributions to our site. However: We have a specific audience and a specific criteria for contributions.

The following guidelines should help you understand what we are looking for, and what we are NOT looking for.

What we want:

Information that is specific to the challenges of raising a child with special needs.

Please check out our About Us page to see some of the podcast episode subjects, to get an idea of the specific issues and challenges we talk about. – Or listen to all of our podcast episodes.

*** Your information must be well researched, well written, and documented with reference citations to peer-reviewed credible sources – NO COMMERCIAL BUSINESS LINKS.

What we DO NOT want:

— Generalized information on family lifestyle, family health, and/or generalized parenting tips.

— Unsubstantiated theory, rumor, speculation, and/or unprovable claims.

— Requests to add links to organizations that copy or repeat those websites we have already linked and listed.

— Plagiarized materials, unintentional or otherwise. We will know if you’ve taken info from another source.

— Requests to add links to personal clubs and/or private, paid membership groups. (contact us to advertise your group instead).

— Links to blogs to which the writer gets paid based on how many ‘click-throughs’ received.

— Personal grievances, attacks, or rants against individuals, businesses, or other organizations.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS FOR FREE THAT PROMOTE COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES.

We do accept advertising if you have a product or a service you want to promote. Please see our ADVERTISING page, and contact our media representative, Becky Blaesing at Blazing Kiss Media to find out more.

Note: If you don’t understand the difference between what we want and what we don’t want, your submission is likely not going to meet our criteria.

If your submission meets our requirements, we will contact you within a few days from the date of your query.

If your submission does not meet our requirements, you will not hear from us.
